Allow short/initial character names
My name is 12. I don't usually go by Twelve unless 12 is unavailable. Granted, my name is unusual, but there are many fuzzies out there with two-character names, in particular those with initials like AJ or TJ. Can FurryNetwork allow shorter usernames?
Muting someone does not hide ALL their activity
Currently, muting someone removes their activity from your "What's New" feed - which is great for making sure your feed does not get spammed by one or two people all the time.
However, it might be better if muting someone hides their activity site-wide - eg no comments, search results, gallery images etc would show up at all - sort of like blocking someone, but without informing the user of this.
Blocking someone currently hides all their activity site-wide, and stops them from being able to view your content, profile or gallery.
Should muting only stop their content from showing in the feed, or should it apply to anywhere their activity could be viewed?

Drag and drop submission reordering!
I'm making this topic because the previous topic is listed as "completed", but it is very clear that what we were provided with was NOT what we were asking for! (AND it doesn't even work.)
So, to bring this back: Who else would like the ability to reorder their submissions via drag and drop, AFTER they've already been uploaded? I know I would!
Multiple files per submission
This is a feature of Inkbunny I rather like, as it is good for collecting variants of the same piece of art under one title and post.
Allow us to clear all items in What's New by a certain artist
It's been bothering me lately. Now that people are pouring all of their art here, there's been a looot of art dumps by artists I follow. Mostly, it's art I've seen before, but I've got to keep clicking X until I get to the new art. I was thinking that, for the sake of art dumps I don't want to have to sift through, I would be able to remove all submissions on the What's New page from a certain artist. This way, I can get to the new stuff quicker.
Move descriptions under the artwork
Right now descriptions (and comments) are squeezed into a tiny area on the right. Artwork descriptions can be pretty lengthy, especially if the artwork has a story to go with it, or is a YCH or auction where important details need to be given. In the same time there is nothing under the image, so that area is unused.
Please move descriptions under the artwork instead where there is plenty of space.
Also, in the same spirit I support the ticket suggesting that comments are also moved there: http://support.furrynetwork.com/topics/256-move-comments-under-artwork/
Just because FN aims to be better than other sites, it doesn't mean it must do everything differently. Also, not everything that works for Art Station (the site FN copied) does work for the furry community because we have different needs.
Implement "Open Graph protocol" for artwork
If FN implemented the Open Graph protocol on its artwork pages, sites like Reddit will be able to display the correct thumbnail/preview images.
Here's Reddit's thumbnail scraper code for example. Currently it selects the blue/white paw of the site logo, which isn't descriptive of the actual content.
'An error occurred connecting to FurAffinity. Please try again at another time.'
When I try to use Import Data, it gives me this error: An error occurred connecting to FurAffinity. Please try again at another time.
I've tried a few times throughout the day, so at this point I think it's a bug.
At times, when coding changes for FA, we need to make adjustments in order to have the importer work. The importer is working right now, though, so feel free to give it another shot when you have the chance.
I would like to see a similar visual thing done to audio like soundcloud does.
To have a better experience with audio content, have waveforms or other virtualizations of music available on the site. This might be a big task but would certainly set Furry Network apart from other competing sites in terms of musical representation.
We don't have a one-button "Delete Account" function yet (you can vote on it here: https://support.furrynetwork.com/topics/580-how-about-an-option-to-let-people-delete-their-accounts-if-they-change-their-minds/ ) , but there's a workaround:
1) Create a new character with a random name, and switch to it.
2) Delete your old character
3) Change your email address (to a throwaway/disposable one), and click the verification link in the email to save it.
4) Change your password to something random, and don't write it down
5) Log out
That should remove all content from your account, and disassociate it from your email address.
Hope this helps.
