Ability to delete account entirely
(Varka edit: original poster did not include a description, so I'm making and adding one here, and improving the title so more people can see it)
Right now, it's not possible to entirely delete your account on Furry Network. You can delete all the content on your account by deleting your character and making a new one (full instructions here: https://support.furrynetwork.com/topics/959-close-account/ ) - but currently, it's very fiddly and it doesn't completely remove it.
This is especially important on a social media site.
A one-button Delete My Account function should be added, so you can easily delete everything if you choose to leave the site.
Hey all -
Being able to completely delete an account is an important feature of any social media site. For the administration side of things, the only real change needed would be to add a 5-7 day delay to the deletion of the account, so bans / tickets / other moderation actions could complete. Aside from that, most of the work has already been done (by allowing users to delete characters).
Please vote if you'd like to see this added!
Remember place in activity feed/submission pages when viewing artwork and using back button
Right now, if you view a submission from a gallery page (eg, 'fresh'), when you hit back it sends you to the top of the page, instead of where you were at. It'd be much better if it remembered where you were at in the gallery.
We're most of the way through building a viewer which pops up on the Feed page, that lets you view the submission without losing your place when you hit 'back'!
Enable users to upload a SFW banner/avatar to display for those with adult content turned off
Right now, if you have an adult-rated banner, visitors with adult content turned off will just see a black rectangle for your account / icon. If there was a way to upload an alternate 'safe for work' icon, this would make it a lot less jarring when using the site without adult content switched on.
This is a good optimization! It'll get rid of a lot of suspicious "black boxes" and "CONTENT BLOCKED" in my feed when viewing the site under SFW mode.
We'll probably put this one off until after launch - but it's a good optimization to do!
Option to hide selected collections from main gallery view (eg Scraps Folder)
Being able to select which folders/collections' submissions are actually visible in your main gallery, while still being public and accessible to anyone who visits your profile, by clicking on that folder to see them listed. Much like the scraps folder on FA :^)
I feel it'd be nice for artists who have also gift or commission art from others, to have that seperate from their main gallery, but still accessible.
Ability to Delete a Character
There's currently no way to delete a character - say, if you mis-spell it, or were experimenting with different accounts and want to clean them up. This is especially a problem due to the 6-character limit.
This has been completed and is live on the site! :D

Finer control of Content Rating
As it is content is either adult or not adult. I don't want to view sexually explicit artwork, but I'd still like to see nudity. On Furaffinity the mature rating works great for this and I believe weasyl follows a similar system. Perhaps it's too late to change this, but I may as well ask.
This has been completed:
We now have a third "mature" content rating as described in my earlier post. Woohoo!
Better control when people post fetish works
Problem: It would be nice to browse the fresh artwork tab, but it's already full of fetish work placed in general rating and no tags assigned, which makes the experience unpleasant if not even causing ill feels. Most the time I don't even know what tag should I add to the community tag section since I have no idea what the fetish is called.
I know the automatic blacklist tags are coming - they will sure be a big help for those who don't know the names of most fetishes and want them all blocked, but this doesn't solve the issue that people don't tag their works accordingly. And looking at the fresh tab the load is way bigger than what can be controlled nicely.
My suggestion:
- Dissallow publishing artwork with no tags assigned, force users to add at least 3 tags (this could easily be: species, gender, theme).
- Force submissions with common fetish tags into adult category automatically.
- Make a 'comfirmed' list for fetish tags that are highlighted when tags are suggested as you type, this should encourage artists to use those tags and not a synonyme or alternate spelling or mistyped version.
Any other suggestions on how to make this problem less bad?
These are some great suggestions actually. For example, if the tag "gore" is added to a submission, the piece could automatically be classified as "Explicit" - for tags which are implicitly mature or explicit in nature.
This could be a useful way of preventing stuff from slipping through!
I'm interested to see how many votes this garners.
Improve the search function, add boolean values
It's an old suggestion, but with more users coming in, i feel it would be good to resubmit this suggestion. The original can be sound here, suggested by Conicaw( http://support.furrynetwork.com/topics/315-proposed-search-improvements/ )
Original Suggestion text:
The current search is incredibly basic and not great. It only shows results that match ALL of the specified tags. Here are some features that could make the search much better:
- Ability to search by other metadata (title, date, number of favorites, number of views, etc.)
- Ability to sort by date, number of views, number of favorites, etc.
- Boolean logic in searches
It would be amazing if I could do these searches:
- cute || snuggles || hugs
- sfw && (cuddles || kissing)
- gay && !(nsfw || suggestive)
For some fields like number of favorites, number of views, and date, it would also be great to have numeric range queries (high/low/band pass filters):
- Let's say I wanted to get images of tigers that had greater than 100 likes. It would be great to be able to have a query like this:
- tigers && favorites.gt:100
- Let's say I wanted to have look at images with the cute tag that have less than 500 views:
- cute && views.lt:500
Derpibooru has one of the best searches I have seen (https://derpibooru.org/search/syntax). It has all these features (boolean searching, metadata searching) and more (fuzzy queries, some regex features). They use Elasticsearch which is an open source project used by many big names like Netflix, Wikimedia, Stack Exchange, GitHub, and SoundCloud.
I know that the features I am proposing may require a lot of coding and testing, especially for query parsing, but I just wanted to let you know what you could do to make the search the best it can possibly be.
Set tag blocks/interests by rating
A lot of perfectly chaste and adorable art involving young characters is tagged "cub." I want to block the porny/racy stuff while not blocking the G-rated art. Same with breast/vagina. I want to filter porn with those tags out, but there's plenty of SFW art involving characters with those tags that I want to see.
So how about a list of tags for each rating level?
Delete All Deletes Everything--Need Delete Selected/Visible/Hidden
I was just now working on clearing out my feed, and I tried hiding some of the categories of feed entries so that I could only focus on deleting the ones I had no interest in. When I hit "Delete All", thinking it would delete only what was toggled visible, it deleted **everything**, including the feed entries that were hidden.
I'm pretty sure this is intended behavior, but I think it would be really handy to have some way to hide certain categories from the feed (like Stories and Posts, for example) and then delete everything else that's still being displayed. Kind of like FurAffinity's "Invert Selection" and "Delete Selected" features. Select what you want to keep, hit Invert Selection, then Delete Selected, and it gets rid of everything you don't want in your inbox anymore.
A similar feature for the feed would be super handy.
Hey all -
We reworked our Feed page a few weeks ago - is it still deleting everything, even when you have filters on?
