Imported art should go to Drafts initially.
With the current system, content that you import from FA (and other sites in the future) go directly into your Public content. I feel that it should go into your Drafts first so you can edit information or delete content that you feel shouldn't be on that account or character.
This is a great suggestion and it'll be in our next release!
Import Tool - Usernames with underscores don't work
The Import tool won't import users from FA with underscores or dashes in the username. Having support for this would be really handy for users who are migrating to the site
Maintain image quality after upload
I have looked around and have not found anyone suggesting this, so I thought I should. Take this image for example:
http://i.imgur.com/JAyMjC5.png
Here is that same image after upload: https://beta.furrynetwork.com/artwork/597379/sushi/
Clicking on and zooming in on the uploaded image, I notice that the quality/'crispness' of the image seems to drop very noticeably compared to the original image.
I am not sure if this is a bug, question, or just falls under a suggestion, but I would like to see image quality maintained when zooming in.
1000-character limit on Messages should be explicit for removed
Hello,
I'm sending messages with a friend and just discovered a hidden 1000-character limit.
Is this a necessary limitation? If so, perhaps we can have a counter placed somewhere on the page to let you know when you're nearing the limit. If not, it would be amazing to see it removed-- or bounded so high that you aren't likely to encounter it.
Thanks!
Facebook-like chat
Why not adding a tab based chat to complete the already existing message system?
I could be seen as a facebook like chat and allow floowers that you are following(for instance) to communicate in a real-time based chat.
Promotion Activity on news feeds no longer display artwork
Just noticed since the most recent features update (just before or during BLFC) that Promote activity on any news feed is no longer accompanied by the corresponding art piece.
Obviously it sort of neuters the point of promoting a piece of work if there's nothing visible to followers!
Highlight 'commented on' notifications?
So I'm actually finally getting some comments on my artwork over here, and I noticed that they're a little difficult to pick out from the other notifications (amely the promotes since the faves just have a blank icon). Now I'm wondering if I missed any other comments, among Promotes notifications.
It might be nice if we could turn on/off the different type of notifications, like you can turn on/off different types of posts on your feed. Honestly, given that favorites are anonymous, and there's no plan to change that, I'd just as soon be able to turn off the notifications for those. A 'stats' page that shows how many faves, comments, etc. I've gotten for my gallery would replace it quite handily for seeing what my most popular pieces are.
Ability to "Like" comments
Any good comment system needs the ability to like or up-vote a comment! I say leave the dislike/down-vote out, but give the best comments a chance to shine!
Featured submissions and preview of gallery upfront on profiles
make profile pages have a featured submission/preview of gallery when people see it.
also...i agree with this just call it a profile thing. I never did like the 'character' thing.
Import from FA (from before the current downtime) is stuck
Several days ago (more than a week) I started an import job from FA, then I went to do other things and forgot about it since I never received the completion email. I went to check now and the import seems stuck, as the progress bar is cycling and it displays the message "Processing artwork: 63 of 302?". This was not the first import, I just wanted to bring the account up to date with the FA one. I'm quite sure it got stuck several days before FA began experiencing problems, so it might be a bug in the import system and not an issue contacting FA.
The importer being stuck prevents me from attempting further imports, although I guess that's a moot point at the moment.
Hello all! Due to changes in the way the source site accepts logins, our importer is temporarily not working! We'll have a fix soon. <3
