Maintain image quality after upload

I have looked around and have not found anyone suggesting this, so I thought I should. Take this image for example:

Here is that same image after upload: https://beta.furrynetwork.com/artwork/597379/sushi/

Clicking on and zooming in on the uploaded image, I notice that the quality/'crispness' of the image seems to drop very noticeably compared to the original image.

I am not sure if this is a bug, question, or just falls under a suggestion, but I would like to see image quality maintained when zooming in.

What you're seeing is actually the standard view image being used for zoom-view, instead of the image file that's available for download (which is what should be used for zoom-view).

Weremangus brought this up in the original thread suggesting the zoom feature. Zoom could definitely use a few fixes and additions to make it a more useful feature.

Ah thank you for letting me know, and I hope some changes are made!

I wonder if just supporting .png instead of converting to jpg is in the works? Any word, guys? Now that all the dust has cleared from the last big forum thing.
