Mobile Notifications
Are there any plans for an official Mobile Notifier? (An app that shows you notifications and would just open your browser to the site when clicked would suffice. You don't need to cram a while site into an app)
Alternatively, Meta Widget support is something I'm very interested in seeing. Its an older app, I'm not entirely sure how it works to be entirely honest. On sites like FA, it lets me select a list or string of text on a webpage, such as the list of Favorites or just the Notification Counter (3S, 2F, 1C, 1W) and display it as a widget on my homescreen. (Scrollable for lists) it can even display single images, although I find that feature much less useful.
It's simple text widgets are something that I find immensely useful to keep track of new notifications when I'm out and about without having to load up an entire image-filled webpage on my data plan.
Currently, when attempting to select the content from the webpage that I want to display as a widget, the website logs me out. I assume this is a security feature, but having a way to access notifications even through a basic RSS feed would be a great idea for those of us looking to save our mobile data plans.
There's not currently a plan to develop an app for this. Unfortunately, art sites such as FN that allow mature content have huge difficulties with getting apps approved. If mobile store policies changed, we could look into making a free application, but it's just not an option at this point.
For desktops, we are planning to have an API that people can use to create helpful applications. While we don't plan to create a notification program ourselves, users would be welcome to do so.
Making an FN App for iPhone and Andriod
Making an Instant Messenger or message board thing for this website in an app for the iPhone and Andriod. Would be lovely
MP4 Upload - "File type not allowed"
Most of my MP4 files end with "File type not allowed", the rest gets stuck at 100%.
As an example, here is one such file.

Way to search for people offering specific types of commissions
I know there's a place showing commissions and whatnot, but I think it would be really neat if, say, somebody was looking for badges for a con, they could specifically filter and find people who are open for that?
I'm unsure if this is a realistic option, but I know one issue I've had in the past looking through regular submission tags would be that 80 percent of posts are COMPLETED items. Filtering through that manually gets stressful. Like last night I went to the YCH tag and it was basically all completed YCH. Thats great, but not what I wanted to see.
Does this make sense at all? Basically a tab or something that exclusively showed people open for commissions, then a way to search it specifically for certain types.
Submissions are disappearing!
Four pieces have disappeared from my gallery. They are still there when I go to the "Manage Artwork" section, but they are no longer in my gallery and all interactions with them (where I got them regularly before) have stopped, which leads to assume that other users can no longer see them either. When I try to view them by clicking on them in my news feed or notifications, I get a "500 error" blank page.
Two of these pieces were on the popular front page. This is an essential part of this website's purpose, I am missing out on a lot of exposure right now. Please look into it ASAP, as this is absolutely detrimental to user experience.
Ability to view more than 1 column of images on mobile layout
It is SO SLOW when I'm browsing through a search or through someone's gallery when the thumbnails are as large as possible. I would love to be able to fit more thumbnails on my screen at once. The desktop offers grid view and it would be really nice if there was one for mobile viewing. (Yes I know I can rotate my phone but I use rotation lock
Grid view has been added to the mobile layout; this will hopefully make browsing much easier for you.
Story submissions don't show subtitles on userpage
I noticed that the thinner subtitles, placed under the main title of a story submission, do not appear on the author's userpage, but if you brows in the STORIES section the subtitle is shown (see screenshots). I think the subtitle should also be displayed on the userpage since it is an important part of the submission. To omit it on the author's page (where it is most prominent to new potential followers) seems stupid. I'd like to see this issue get fixed.
PS: Same goes for notifications. Including the submission's subtitle there would help to keep things organized (this goes especially if you include the number and name of the chapter in the subtitle, as I have experienced).
Thanks for giving a heads up! This issue has been fixed. The subtitle now shows on the submission.
Simple Text Only Notifications
Heya,
I was wondering with the volume of notifications one may receive, especially after porting an entire gallery's worth, if there were an option to simplify the notification system so that they would be read without icons or previews? Just makes it a lot easier as I don't need to see a thumbnail of my own artwork to know which one has been favourited or commented on etc.

Ability to use desktop layout on phone
I prefer to handle all of my furry business off of my phone. While the mobile layout isn't horrible it is super buggy for me. It would be really nice if there was an option under account settings to always use the desktop layout.
Activity Feeds are not updated (quick enough or at all)
As it looks like, the slowness of the site seems to affect the loading of the activity feed. I have been "investigating" with some tools (The Browser-Included F12-Diagnostic Tools), as well as Wireshark on my Desktop, along with some Network Diagnostic tools from the company I am working in on my Android Device.
The Problem is the following:
The Activity Feed will not update (quick enough or at all) when you go to someone elses Profile after visiting your own.
Steps to reproduce:
- Go to your own Profile
- Wait for everything to load
- Open your Activity feed (The Bell on the top right) and directly go to someones profile (E.G click onto a person who recently followed you)
Expected Behaviour on all Devices:
The Activity Feed of that Person should be shown immediatly
Actual Behaviour on Desktopbrowsers:
Your own Activity feed is shown for a period of between 0.5Seconds up to 10 Seconds before it is replaced with the new one.
Environment:
Windows 7
150Mbps LAN Connection
Current Firefox, Opera, Chrome, IE11
Actual Behaviour on Andriod:
The Activity Feed will never be updated, altough Network Diagnostic Tools show me that packages are regularly sent to my device.
Environment:
Galaxy S7
150Mbps WiFi Connection
Firefox, Firefox Beta, Chrome, Opera, Opera Mobile, Samsungs Integrated Browser
EDIT:
I forgot to Mention that I am from Europe, maybe something fishy is going on here.
