Mobile Notifications

Are there any plans for an official Mobile Notifier? (An app that shows you notifications and would just open your browser to the site when clicked would suffice. You don't need to cram a while site into an app)

Alternatively, Meta Widget support is something I'm very interested in seeing. Its an older app, I'm not entirely sure how it works to be entirely honest. On sites like FA, it lets me select a list or string of text on a webpage, such as the list of Favorites or just the Notification Counter (3S, 2F, 1C, 1W) and display it as a widget on my homescreen. (Scrollable for lists) it can even display single images, although I find that feature much less useful.

It's simple text widgets are something that I find immensely useful to keep track of new notifications when I'm out and about without having to load up an entire image-filled webpage on my data plan.

Currently, when attempting to select the content from the webpage that I want to display as a widget, the website logs me out. I assume this is a security feature, but having a way to access notifications even through a basic RSS feed would be a great idea for those of us looking to save our mobile data plans.

There's not currently a plan to develop an app for this. Unfortunately, art sites such as FN that allow mature content have huge difficulties with getting apps approved. If mobile store policies changed, we could look into making a free application, but it's just not an option at this point.

For desktops, we are planning to have an API that people can use to create helpful applications. While we don't plan to create a notification program ourselves, users would be welcome to do so.
