Your comments

Ziel, I appreciate your thoughts on this. We've had this discussion as staff, and knowing exactly where to draw the line is a little difficult and will really vary for each different topic. In general, though, anything that leans towards being sexual will be considered fetish.

Let's take inflation, for example. There's a good deal of inflation artwork that could be general, especially those that are related to Willy Wonka and the blueberries. If there's an emphasis, however, on sexual body parts (whether clothed or not) or penetration that appears sexual, we consider it fetish.

Honestly, it's difficult to come up with one specific rule for every situation, especially since I'm discovering new fetishes every day on this site. If it's difficult to make a ruling, we'll discuss it as staff first, then make an overall decision.

If you feel that anything you're submitting appears sexual, though, it's most likely best to mark it as mature or explicit.

For now, since the problem appears to be fixed for you, we'll close the ticket. I know that the site has undergone some redesigns, and hopefully this issue is no longer a problem in the future. Please let us know if you need anything else.

I'm pretty much on the fence about this.

On one hand, having a mascot adds a bit of a fun element to it. When I think of other furry websites out there, the mascots often pop into mind. I mean, we're a community that embraces animals; it makes sense to have a mascot. This gives us a way to show life and excitement through site art.

On the other hand, a mascot sometimes is seen as less professional and more of an annoyance. That's not always the case, but there's some value in having the focus be towards content creators, not the website.

If we were to have one, I'd imagine we'd probably have it be more of an unofficial thing at first - we have a Discord server, and it would give some great ideas for custom emotes. I'm unsure we'd want to integrate it with the site, but if we did, we would likely do so with the About Us and Rules pages.

Anyway, I want to think on this some more. Other thoughts or ideas would be appreciated, as well.

We've had some significant changes to the site, and this issue should now be resolved. If you're still having issues with this, though, please let us know; we can look into this again. Thanks!

The llama thing on DeviantArt was started as an April Fool's joke, and it's generally viewed as something that's pointless but fun - they kept it around because people liked it. I think forcing something like this onto users wouldn't be welcome; organic inside jokes tend to go over much better. If there are rising trends, we'll of course keep our eyes open for those.

Also, we do not currently have any plans to implement micro transactions. They're the reason I hate Candy Crush. Micro transactions in a community can make users feel excluded from the full experience, and we'd rather not have things that are divisive.

At this point, we don't quite have enough of a demand for music to create its own section; for now, it works well in multimedia. If there is a significant increase in music submissions in the future, though, we could definitely reconsider this. Thanks!

I'd like to weigh in on this. Recently, we've updated the Acceptable Upload Policy. For this section, we removed the part allowing "tasteful nudity" - it can be difficult to rule on what is tasteful and what isn't, and because we have a mix of ages on the site, having real-life nudity would make things much more complicated.

With murrsuits, I don't imagine just having the suit itself would be a problem; we'd consider it a sex toy or fetish gear, and those are allowed. The question of having an adult toy sticking through with an adult inside is a bit rough, though; I'm checking with other staff to see what they think.

Thank you for the suggestion, Mike. Users are now able to add descriptions to stories. We're also going to make more usability changes in the next couple of months for stories.

At this point, it's likely best to put a DNP notice in your description if you don't wish for the image to be posted elsewhere. The specifics can really vary from user to user, so having custom text for your own work would show what you're okay and not okay with.

Thank you for the suggestions here. I'm looking through them, and I'm leaning towards this being overly complicated - users should be able to upload and submit something without trying to figure out all the different categories or ways to submit. Users do currently have the option to make images public without having them go in the main gallery, and that will likely address some of the concerns you have.

We are separately looking at an option to use scraps similar to FA; it's something a lot of users have wanted, and I think it would be useful.
