At this point, we don't currently have any plans to add another type of messaging; it would be a large amount of work for what's largely the same system. However, we are looking into large changes to posting text across the website as a whole, and I'm hoping we're able to bring functional formatting to messages.
We've had some significant changes to both the mobile and desktop versions of the site. I don't believe this is an issue now; if you could, feel free to check and see if it's still an issue for you. If so, we'll look into this in the near future.
Glad to hear your problem was fixed for you specifically. I know that we've had some significant changes to the site, and it appears that this issue rarely occurs now; if we see this happen again, we'll look into it with the version of the site.
I appreciate the suggestion! At this point, we're finished with the main points of the layout. We're still going to keep the scaling feature, but clicking the "download" button will allow you to see the image in its original resolution.
At this point, there hasn't been much of a demand for this feature - the great majority of people support downloads for the original size because of the quality you get from the image. There always is the concern with art theft, though, and we understand that; users are welcome to upload smaller images or make any changes that may help with this issue if they so wish.
At this point, we mostly have the layout finished. There's not much demand for this change, and since there's limited room over artwork icons, this would likely make it much more cluttered. In addition, we've also implemented keyboard navigation - this makes it much less cumbersome to go between images.
Thanks for the idea!
Although this topic is a bit old, I'd like to weigh in. For now, if people are name hoarding, we do have a method to have those character names released - this is detailed in our Code of Conduct.
We have a topic, as well, about name verification. It's a lower priority issue to us, but I do agree that it would be helpful, especially when buying commissions.
Thanks for clearing that up, RaunchyRam!
RaunchyRam was able to answer this question pretty well. Thanks!

For now, we're going to pass on this idea - tags should be enough to help people search for the types of writing they like. If there's sufficient demand for this in the future, though, we'd be happy to look into it.
