Welcome to Furry Network's Support & Feedback Forum!
You can vote for improvements you'd like to see, suggest your own, and report bugs here. With your help, we'll make Furry Network even better!
Put the searched tags above the searchbar rather than below, so the autocomplete doesn't cover what you're already searching.
On the artwork page, I mean. The autocomplete covers the tags you've already searched.
IRC/RSS Feeds for user pages
IRC RSS feeds are common widgets for many blogs and content-heavy websites (like ones where webcomics are hosted) that help link the actual content with what the user is currently doing. It'd be cool to have a similar option for user or character pages on FN. It would also help with making some artists seem less "dead" during periods where they don't upload a lot of content.
Titles for journal posts
We should be able to title our journal posts the same way we title our submissions! Right now the only way to 'fake' a journal title is with markup, which seems a bit silly.
This has been added. I realize that the text support here is fairly limited, similar to stories. We will have more text functionality on Furry Network after additional development.
"Add Content' option in navbar, more streamlined submission.
It seems a little odd to not have a quick an intuitive option to add content to your page, artwork, story or otherwise. It's easy enough to navigate through the site's submissions, but not having an easy process to upload, describe, and submit your art is just weird for how many content-creator friendly features this website boasts.
Over the past several months, the site has had many changes. At this point, the top toolbar has the "Upload" option, and it's fairly intuitive. This is currently planned to be the final design when the site fully releases.
Make Feed page & User page more easily distinguishable
The Feed page and User page are visually very similar - they both feature a feed of information and numbers/stats on the right hand side, as well as a "What is on your mind?" post creation thing. It's all to easy to end up wondering why you can't get to "inbox zero" on your user page - because it looks very similar to the feed page (which is the default view you get when visiting the site).
This could be improved by:
1. Adding a title to the right hand side, above the stats, eg "Your Stats".
2. Remove the "What is on your mind?" post creation form from the User Profile page.
3. Maybe consider changing the numbers shown on the User Profile page to a different color. Right now it's in "new activity blue", it might be better in "old activity grey".
Banner issue when scrolling
On my profile page, when you first visit it, the banner on top is in the position you have it set to crop too, but if you scroll all the way up to view the whole image and then scroll back down to where you were, the position of the crop changes to the middle of the image instead of where I selected it
To reproduce, go to my profile page, then scroll up to view the whole image, then scroll back down to where you were.
I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but I assumed it wasn't
Rotation or Time Limit on Popular Artwork
Since I have joined FN the Popular Artwork page seems to be almost completely static.
I would propose a change that would allow newer artwork that has garnered interest to be displayed more prominently on that page.
Another possibility might be to have seperate pages for Recently Popular and Most Popular of All Time.
I believe such a change would help this site grow and allow artists to reach a larger audience.
Make user-name link to "View my profile"
Clicking on your username goes to the front page instead of your profile. You can already go to the main page by clicking on the site title/banner. Changing your name to link to your profile provides a quick way to view how a submission looks without having to navigate the drop down menu (which you have to move the cursor to, click on, wait for the animation to complete, move the cursor again once you find the "View my profile" link)
Users Online
This is a really helpful feature for artists who offer commissions, to see the most active times of day! I'd love to see it on FN as well!
