Having options to see things in specific stages of developement. Like, all things that are planned, all things that are planned for after the launch, all things that are under review.
It'd just be neat to see all the things that are planned in a more straight forward way than just going through each and every idea.
Content Rating Buttons obscure Story Submission statistics
The button that indicates a story submission's rating obscures the submission statistics as seen in the screenshot below. The same problem exists with certain art submissions (I think it happens when the numbers become too big. This could get worse if the community grows). It would be nice, if this could be fixed.
The site has undergone some significant changes, and this is no longer an issue.
Vector Traces
According to the current AUP, all traces are considered "theft" and not allowed. This rubs me the wrong way because I like to do vector traces. These are clearly labelled as such (crediting original artist) and generally are much higher resolution/detail than the original and without JPEG artifacts. (For example, compare my Renamon vectors with the original 600x400 JPEG...) I should hope these don't also fall under this rule, even if they technically are traced?
Rena, I apologize it has taken this long to get to this question. Per our rules, plagiarism includes, "Tracing or otherwise copying a work without the consent of the original owner or creator." I understand that your intention with vector tracing is to provide a version of an image that is higher quality; however, since those lines and the character design were created by someone else, it would still be considered plagiarism in this case and not permitted on the site. If you do have permission from the creator, though, you are welcome to upload traced images.
Trouble finding Trouble Tickets
I cant seem to find anywhere to submit a trouble ticket. Its like, hidden or something.
I went everywhere except for wherever its actually located...which i have no idea where to make one. I need to make one regarding my Add Content issue.
The place to submit a trouble ticket is at https://support.furrynetwork.com/
If you go there, type your topic in the top bar, then click on the right "+ Add a New One." This will allow you to create a new ticket. There will be a drop down menu in that screen for you to post in Ideas, Questions, Bugs, or Praises.
Exporter
Once things settle down, I'd like to see an export tool similar to Google's Takeout, where you can get all your metadata in JSON/XML and actual data in zip files.
We're not currently planning to have an exporter, but we do want to have an API available; this would likely be possible for community members to put together once we have that ready.
Download Button (Various Options)
There's a singular download button, and it's great. However, it would be cool to have a dropdown, which gives users the option to download various different sizes/formats.
Such as "Poster size" or "MP4 Version" if it were a flash submission.
At the moment, this doesn't appear to be feasible; it would be a large amount of development for a feature that currently doesn't have much demand. For now, users could either upload or link to other versions of their submission.
If there is more demand for this in the future, we can look into this as an option.
unable to upload larger mp4
Hi,
I have been trying to transfer my gallery here. I managed to upload a very small mp4, but once it gets bigger than 2 or 3 megabytes, the upload will freeze at 100% and stop there.
I am using chrome to try this.
Larger file size for audio
I want to put some of my music on this account, but the file sizes for most of my songs are too big to upload without drastically lowering the quality. Allowing embedding from soundcloud would be another way to fix this.
Fullscreen view bug in Safari
In Safari, clicking on an image to view it in fullscreen brings up an empty box:
Looking at the code with the web inspector, it looks like it's not setting the background-size property of the "img#lightbox-img.image__img" container correctly, because it says "background-size: 2px;". If I reload the page while the fullscreen UI is open, the image appears correctly.
The site has gone through some significant changes. I checked on Safari, and this appears to be working fine at this point. If there are problems in the future, feel free to submit another ticket.
Blacklist Bug in Grid View
Stumbled into this one at random guys. As a matter of course I have 'MLP' in my blacklist for every site that supports filtering. One of the artists I follow occasionally does MLP content, and while Weasyl makes sure I never see it, here I get a big 'Content Warning' banner when using List view. Do note, that's not the bug. The bug happens when I swap over to Grid view. When in Grid view, the submission thumbnail is shown. No 'Content Warning' banner, no removal from the list, it's just sitting there in plain view. Made me think that my filters were broken, as I tend to view things in Grid by default.
The site has had some updates, and this issue is now fixed. Let us know if you have any other issues!
