Error! Imported artwork: 0 of 0
I get this error every single time I try to import
I tried both changing my password and re-entering all of my info
Please help
The importer has gone on and off due to changes in FA's coding. This has been corrected, and it is now working. If you have any other issues importing, please let us know.
Furaffinity Credentials
Alright so I realized after it was to late that I put in the wrong username for my fA account. I've cleared my browser data/cache and have tried logging off and back on, and since the update today, it finally stopped trying to import it, but I still cant change the username. Is there another way to edit the import information for fA, or am I just stuck not linking/importing it?
After site layout changes, this issue has been resolved. If there are any other issues with this, feel free to let us know here.
Furry Network Friday (Twitter/Social Media)
Im Catwoman69y2k, long time creative and purveyor of art sites. While I have not been caught up in the issues of one of the websites which is having its usual security issues, I do know that the exodus is hard for people to do because they dont want to risk losing all that they have built and/or the commissioners.
However, Id like to see if some of us can begin a campaign on social media (Twitter, FB, etc..) called "Furry Network Friday". Basically, we could try using the hashtag of #furrynetworkfriday for tweets/status updates that showcase awesome artists who are here on Furry Network. I have seen other sites try this during the last Exodus and as we see, nothing really seems to stick and people continue using the other problem site. However, we dont know if this will be it until we try...
I think it would be good for us to have specific social media campaigns, especially as we get close to the full launch of the site. The difficulty with this specific hashtag, though, is that it would be attempting to ride off the success of similar hashtags. If we had something like #FNFriday, it would need to be organic from members rather than forced.
Again, we'll definitely talk about ways to get excitement through social media, especially as we expand testing and get ready for the full site release.
Can't delete submissions
I can't seem to be able to delete submissions on one of my accounts, zieli. I'm trying to clean up/re-upload my gallery because the importer made a complete mess of my submissions and there's a ton I wouldn't have here anyway, but I can't delete them!
I can delete them just fine on my other GrumpMonster account, so I have no idea what's going on. I even tried switching zieli to my main and THEN trying to delete them - it didn't work. This is very frustrating!
Ability to remove, or separate promotes, follows and comments from feed
When your feed is spammed with your various activity, any actual status updates and artwork submissions will get lost.
There should be either the ability to remove/disable these activity notifications from your feed, or separate them from actual status updates and submissions, for example via having a tab for each, with status updates and submissions being the tab displayed by default.
Favs and follows on someone you watch can be useful for discovering more art, but they are inferior in importance to status updates and submissions.
A feature Like Beeline Reader to help dyslexic people read text easier
I don't have dyslexia, but reading large amount of text on websites does hurt my eyes. And a feature like this might be a good addition to the text pages other than the invert the page colour. and would also increase the accessibility of this website.
(http://www.beelinereader.com/) Here is the app i'm referring to.
Accessibility is important to us, and it's best to give options to users when it's going to be helpful. However, there are already applications available for free across the internet that will help with dyslexia. Specifically, BeeLine itself is free and is advertised to work across the internet. Pointing someone towards BeeLine Reader or other similar apps will likely much better for users; this way, they have a solution for all websites rather than just one.
The color issue, however, is another one we're discussing, and we are looking into offering different themes. Click this link to check out the current discussion.
Thank you for these suggestions!
Submission won't save
A few times today, I've been unable to save submissions into either Drafts or Public. I'm simply not getting any response when I try to save.
Twice, the artworks have appeared under Public from Manage Artwork upon refreshing, but not in the Artwork tab on my profile or on my feed, and they remain this way.
It's probably just a user error as it usually is, but I haven't done anything differently from normal.
Define an area of a submitted image as the thumbnail
Since we are using a square grid view mode it would be great to be able to select what area of the image will appear as the thumbnail, there are a lot of pictures with half of the character's body/head missing or generally giving a bad representation of the picture in the preview. Let us choose, if the feature already exists, make it pop up automatically when submitting a new image.
That is all, have fun.
universal keyboard shortcuts
I have an idea of common keyboard shortcuts to navigate the page
for example, if we are at user page, we can hit F for -follow [the same mechanism as with the faving images] ect. the stands for us, we can hit A or just shift+A [or just first letters for the desired actions like story, submission, commission ect]
I hope this will be implement, also the site need be much faster...
