Profile setting for landing page.
Having a setting so it can be selected that the main page shows latest art sumissions instead of the most populars.
Hey there,
I do believe that if you select 'Fresh' instead of most popular, this will give you the latest art submissions.
Import stuck - can't cancel - pls send help
it's been stuck at 0/71 for a bit now (even though I have more than 71 pics in my FA gallery)
How can I cancel it?
Unban [content type here] from Furry Network
Hello all,
We've had a number of idea threads created on the support system, all in a similar vein, calling for the banning or unbanning of some content type from Furry Network.
We want to be sure we take the time to provide an in-depth response to these requests, and as such have collected them all here, on this suggestion thread.
Once things have calmed down a little, tempers are running a little cooler, and we've had a chance to draft up a full, detailed response to the concerns raised, we'll post it here.
During the rush to bring the support system under control shortly after we announced our recent content policy change, we mistakenly deleted two threads on this topic - and gave no indication of if they'd return - or if it was just censorship. To clarify, we'd like to address the concerns raised in them. Sorry we didn't make this clear from the outset.
Separately, we think that the support system is not well suited to contentious issues with "sides". It's great for mainly technical problems where all participants are judging comments on the basis of their technical merit, but it descends quickly into a "battle" between warring sides - something which is notorious for breaking down into name-calling rather rapidly - for more contentious issues such as site policy. We'll be working to to see if we can find a better medium for encouraging and facilitating feedback on policy-type stuff - as it's clear the support system isn't really cut out for the job.
Thanks

Ability to Pin Journals / Announcements to Userpage
It seems we're definitely going to get journals in some fashion or another.
When we do, the ability to have the user select a specific one to always be the one displayed on the page is important. People use them for longterm announcements, project schedules (that they keep updating), as well as space to just permanently have a journal up.
Preferably, hitting whatever 'read more' link it has would bring you to a list of all journals, the pinned journal being where in the list you are carried to. This way users can browse through your previous journals, but cursory viewers of your page can still get the need-to-know information in your pinned journal at a moment's glance.
Furry Network concept [sketch]
of course it probably can be done better... I hope it will be useful :/ if not then forgive me... I tried help lel this page should be our default if we enter FN logged I think... it's much better?
Bug : Multiple Tag Search Causes Search To Break [video]
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7480965/vid/FN%20Search%20Bug.flv
Video is NSFW, mind you.
So, what about all that untagged art from before 2009?
I'd go out on a limb and say that MOST of the art on FN is imported from people's FA galleries. This is great! However, this whole site works around tagging, and FA didn't have tags before 2009.
All my artwork that has an 07 or 08 on it is untagged. Anyone who's in the same boat as me (longtime fa artist, imported gallery) will be the same.
This is THOUSANDS of pictures that are currently untagged for their content.
So what are we gonna do about it? I'll go through the laborious process of tagging at least the basics of my pictures so that they're all searchable / people don't run into it by accident, but at the moment there's basically a huge pile of untagged work out there.
If we did tags like e621, it wouldn't be an issue, as there are legions of people hardcore into organizing stuff. But there are only like, user suggested tags, and i have no idea how that works here.
So, what do, FN?
Default Character on Side Profiles
I had a dream where you could see a little section on someone's profile that had the default account on it if it was someone's other profile. So, if I had a other profile under the name, "rainbowunicorn", it would say somewhere "Default: Mew". I think it would be a great idea so people couldn't make multiple accounts and pretend to be whole different people, and it would show ownership of an account if someone is using it as a fursuit or character account.
Forum Votes on Comments are more like Opinion Shaming
As I've been checking out how the forums have been run, I've noticed that to Comment on a topic with a differentiating opinion, the comment will most likely be subject to down vote. I can assume that this makes it really hard for someone who would like to discuss or debate the topic on another viewpoint. I know it is for me.
X topic is this. X topic is for it. X topic's comments tend to be all for the topic are Upvoted, and all against Downvote. This system of voting on comments is very intimidating. I also believe it can sway opinion on how folks may treat the debate or discussion based on up/down votes within comments. It's terrifying going into a forum thread knowing if you write anything the basic opinion of the thread is going for, you'll get down voted. It can Silence differenciating opinion.
TLDR: Upvotes and Downvotes are fine on the general Idea of the topic to gauge interest, but I don't think it's good for the comments!
