So basically you want to peek through the key hole of a door you've closed to lock out something you don't want to see, to make sure it's not actually something you might like after all?

Don't get me wrong, I can see the curiosity a "Content Warning" entry might cause, but to me it seems a bit pointless to first block something only to then bring it back up. Anyways, this looks like a topic one could argue about a lot, so I'll just say: Since this feature (if it were to be implemented) wouldn't affect my own experience, or the one of any other users who don't actually wish to use this tool, while browsing the site, I could cope with it, so I'll upvote this idea.

But why? If you blacklist something, you don't want to see it. What does it matter what sort of content it is?

This solution seems appropriate to me. And in the same move one could decide whether your favorites should be visible to third parties or hidden.

Same here. Also, a detailed explanation should be included in the site's TOS (Terms of Service) or AUP (Acceptable Upload Policy) or something where one can easily find such information on the main site, because I failed to find this information either!

This is a very interesting idea! I see some potential abuse for a feature like that, but I'll git it an upvote to see where this will go.

Maybe the upvote/downvote thing could be extended by actually rating the content? Like, give five stars if you love what you see, or only three if you just like it, or something like a negative star if you dislike something? Of course this could also fire the wrong direction! Imagine you're new to the site, post something, and only receive downvotes. A feature to tell someone you don't like something can easily become a dangerous weapon to insult and harass people. To include something like that should be weighed carefully!

I disagree here. Cub porn isn't wrong and it isn't immoral. It may be wrong and immoral in your opinion, and that is absolutely fine! But for me cub porn (even if I'm not enjoying it myself per se) is, first and foremost, one thing: ART! And if we, as a free, artistic community, ban this sort of art merely for the reason that it offends some people, now that is wrong and immoral!

And to take this a step further: Where do we stop? Are hard fetishes okay to post here, or should we ban that as well? Should adult content be allowed here at all? What about forbidding human characters in sexual situations like Inkbunny does?

No. banning that sort of material is not the solution, in my opinion. There are other measures. For example: If you want to post content that includes cub porn, the site could ask you "Does this submission include minor characters in sexual situations?" during the upload process and provide a check box with "yes" and "no". If you tick "yes" all users who have opted to see this sort of content in their account settings, will be able to see it, while all users who don't wish to see cub porn and have opted out to see it, will never ever hear of it. Additionally one could simply blacklist tags like cub porn.

Censoring content is rarely an adequate solution, and in this case, I think, it isn't as well. We can do better than that! Keep our community open-minded and free!

Absolutely this! Markdown is a pain in the ass to use and I'd prefer BB Code over it a thousand times!

Thank you, Storm Engineer, for pointing out the numerous flaws of Markdown so detailed and providing adequate solution suggestions!

I just noticed the limitation as well. It's outright annoying! I had to separate one comment into FOUR comments due to this! This definitely should be removed ASAP!

This is exactly what I'm missing on this site! Comments seem too unimportant and unorganized to me as of now.

In addition I'd like to suggest another idea, to move the comment section under the actual submission to have more space: http://support.furrynetwork.com/topics/256-move-comments-under-artwork/

One of the best ideas I've seen so far!
