Unable to upload pictures. Stuck at 0% or 100%

Kiba Wolf 8 years ago updated by Vas 8 years ago 43 7 duplicates

I am currently unable to upload any photos. If I add one photo to upload, it shows percentage rising all the way to 100% and remains stuck after that.

If I add multiple photos to upload, most of them remain at 0% and some are stuck at 100%.

This happens whether I do a drag-drop or if I manually select files using the browser.

I am currently using Chrome

Commissions Rating/Feedback System

Jessica Belle 8 years ago updated by Digby (Community Manager) 7 years ago 6 2 duplicates

The key to a successful commercial platform is safety in the flow of money-- that, and a core set of popular content creators.

FurryNetwork is heading in the right direction with its existing Commission system, but a feedback system would allow both creators and commissioners to get an idea of whether or not they should expect a good experience from the other party. This would pair well with a verified artist system as mentioned in an earlier idea of mine.

This idea was inspired by Amazon, Ebay, and other commerce platforms. The FN system must differ, however, because of the smaller user base. Averages aren't as stable a predictor, and each review matters more. Reviewers must be accountable for their reviews, and their subjects must have some manner of appeals process.

Just some thoughts.

text and word document uploading support

Talon Vurixen 8 years ago updated by SalemAldous 8 years ago 10 1 duplicate

Would it be possible to allow writers to directly upload their stories in .txt, .doc, docx, .pdf formats? I ask because the current format for submitting written works leaves me worrying that certain formatting settings I have will not be preserved if I copy/paste the content from its original file into the text submission area. For text submissions spanning over 2500 words, it can become a hassle to worry about rebuilding paragraph indentations and making sure bold/italic/underlined words remain as such accurately.

"Follows you" notice on profiles

Sidian 8 years ago updated by towai 8 years ago 1 1 duplicate

Similar to Twitter, a little note on a user's profile if they follow you. I've had multiple occasions where I was curious if someone followed me on FA, and had to go digging through their watch list to find out.

Ability to only see 18+ content

Keryo Wolfe 8 years ago updated by anonymous 6 years ago 5 2 duplicates

Let's be honest, a lot of us are here just to see anthropomorphic animals get all kinds of nasty, but we're too lazy to search through all the age appropriate content just to find all the kinky delights. So I'd like to propose a site option that removes all the regular content from the feed and just leaves us with the naughiest art, pics, vids or stories made by the cool and talented people FN has to offer.

Blocking, muting, and anti-harassment features

Astolpho 8 years ago updated by Haru Totetsu 8 years ago 22 2 duplicates

You guys said you planned on incorporating user blocking back in October and at present there's nothing an individual can do to prevent unwelcome interactions or attention from harassers, right now the only option is to wait until they act and then flag/report them.

Consider some of these options:

  1. User blocking: a blocked user cannot follow, favorite, promote, comment on, @-mention, or perform any other activity that will cause their name to appear in your notification center.
  2. Ghosting: if you are ghosting a user, none of your site activity - submissions, comments, or otherwise - will be visible to them as long as they are logged in.
  3. Muting: the opposite of ghosting. If you have muted a user, none of their site activity will be visible to you. They will not know you've muted them.
  4. Quarantine: Toxic personalities tend to congregate and clique up, so if you quarantine a user, it applies the block function to them and automatically extends the block to every user following them.

This has been completed - and is now live on the site! We'll be improving it slightly in the next few weeks by adding easy block/mute buttons to user profiles.

Having a collections feature

Mehlahphuse 8 years ago updated by Albino-Kitsune 8 years ago 14

Now I would have to look up FN's upload policy when it comes to uploaded art that isn't your own (aka uploading art you've commissioned, gift art, etc) but maybe we could take an idea from Weasyl while improving on it a little and have the option to have submissions added to a collections folder. Now I kind of liked that feature on Weasyl as it allowed me to always be able to find art involving myself on the site without having to upload it myself and it let other users who explore my profile to see art and such of my characters and fav it straight from the artists themselves, giving them credit straight up. However, the one area it fails in is the fact that the artist is required to send the commissioner the collection request and not the other way around. Granted I can see they did that as it can be easy to pretend to be someone and act like the art is yours but they could at least give artists some credit that they would dig a little to confirm that the person was the real deal.

Considering this site has a commissions tab where you can request a commission straight from that tab maybe it could be possible to use that to tie an automated system that would add commissions straight to the commissioner's collection. Granted it wouldn't cover group pics but it is a start in the right direction.

I don't know. What do you guys think about a collections feature on FN?

Profile advertisement

Fuzzerfox 8 years ago updated by Varka (Spokesdragon) 8 years ago 3

a way to get more views on your profile, perfect for less- known artists to get their art out there.

- It could be simply ad's , like FA does.

- Or maybe a 'profiles in the spotlight' section on the homepage. Maybe a few profiles choosen by admins/users and a few profiles that paid to get featured there?

Share to social media option

Kaedal 8 years ago updated by Jethro 8 years ago 10 1 duplicate

I would personally like an option to share artwork, stories, photographs and multimedia to a social media. Twitter in particular. Probably not as important as other features at the moment, given the invite-nature of the network, but an idea to keep in mind, I feel.

Color code the notification list

noway 8 years ago updated by Digby (Community Manager) 7 years ago 12 2 duplicates

Its really cool how it looks now but i honestly think it would be a lot easier if new art work has for example a redfish banner to it, comments green, post blue etc. doesnt have to be solid but right now it just all looks the same and is annoying when quickly scrolling
