That's definitely what I'm asking and I know the scope of it. I imagine it's something they'll be forced to deal with via support tickets anyhow, so as long as someone sees this and it floats the idea upward, I'm happy.

Loving this idea. Making my own post about UNVERIFIED accounts and how many "shell" accounts their seem to be, e.g. @taki, who may or may not be TakiSkunk. It might be a way to hold namespace hostage.

Addendum: The # symbol is similarly broken, replacing all instances with tag searches. This breaks hex-encoding on lots of symbols (tried circumventing the above via "@").
