Easy way to fave, promote, or delete in grid mode.
Grid mode is a great addition, however it does not give the user the ability to easily delete, favorite, or promote submissions straight from their home, like the other view does.
I think it would be a great idea to include smaller versions of the same buttons in grid mode. You could put them in the top right corner of the submissions, so that people don't loose these nice quick buttons just because they switched the view.
Answer
I definitely agree! This way, I can go through my whats new notifications without opening a million tabs. XDD
This was exactly the first thing I thought after the grid view was implemented. Seeing this idea being realized would be awesome!
This is also important because mobile mode doesn't seem to have any way to remove them at all
I turned grid-mode on the other day because I dislike the other mode. I want to see lots of submissions right away so I can view the ones I'm interested in immediately, rather than having to scroll down and down and down one at a time.
Looked at my inbox just now and went "ok so how do I remove some?"
Utter failure of the grid layout. It's not an alternative view, it's worthless without these controls.
Would love something similar to Deviant arts submission layout, assigning uploads from each user into folders and the ability to delete the submissions you don't want to look at from the thumbnails. Maybe even having a delete from submissions when you full view it too to allow easy browsing through the artwork like DA does too.
Much easier than opening a bunch of tabs to view the artwork and then deleting them all
Personally I'm not a fan of dA's route, but I wouldn't deny it from those that do like it. It just isn't for me.
please do this
I have been very frustrated thinking this was already how it worked, clicking on things that are not buttons :P
I would still open the pieces later. Besides. Would this possibly increase promotes? Thats what an artist really wants.
Not when it directly counts towards the view when you interact with the art piece like that.
It's especially really helpful when you browse on mobile phones ... since opening a image just for liking is just meh right now imo
