The tag system is definitely beneficial for this as well, but not every artist or writer will use those tags. Those individuals may not pop up under those tags and could be lost in the fresh and popular feeds. It could also be more helpful for those looking for those specific types of art than using tags.

This feature is by no means a necessary addition. It'd just be nice. :P
