Yeah...I know that too well x3.

Webscraper + Browser Automation + sound capture = real-time sound theft. o.o

But I think the hybrid solution would help at least a little.

@Star Seer:

There is a DRM proposal? Okay, thats a gamechanger. Because if this is a thing, then it would actually be possible to allow a hybrid solution:

- Regular html5-audio for downloadables,

- DRM'd for non-free tracks.

Yes, the latter would limit the audience, but that still would be pretty neat imho. o.o

Sounds reasonable to me. Would also be interested to see how FN would implement this from a code-perspective :p

But you have my +1 - because my father is a musician and he would very much prefer not to have some stuff downloaded.

Let the artist create a price sheet for regular stuff, and one for adult content. This allows:

- Regular users to see most of the things.

- Content distinctive information. Ergo, adult stays adult = unseen by those that dont want to.

- A rather sorted experience. You see, some people ask artists if they do or dont do adult artwork. Using this aproach would answer this question before it is even asked.

Looking forward to this happening. Why? I think this site would be yet only the second after SF to ever have one :p

So please make this happen! And if you do I am sure it'll be good. =) There's a number of things I can see being coded already - for instance, a dropbox-esque sync system for artwork. Drop it in, it uploads as draft! A subfolder with all the metadata stored as JSON to keep information backed up locally. Would allow an artist to "draw directly to the site", so to speak.

Just one of this bird's random thoughts. o.o
