Simplify the uploading process?

Uploading new art to this site is kind of... unorthodox. It took me a while to figure out that you have to upload the picture to drafts, click on the picture, fill out the description field, and THEN change the status from draft to public. Most art sites have a simple "submit" button, so this process was rather confusing for me. It's kind of unconventional and would most likely throw off first time users.

I don't have a specific idea on what to do differently. I'd suggest maybe looking at how other art sites do it and simplify the uploading process from there?

The uploading process has been refined, and it should be easier to upload. If there are still difficulties, please let us know, and we can look into further improvements.

I think this feature is mainly for people who want to have Uploads ready in the future. I find it really convenient that I can can save as many as i need to on the draft and get them ready to post later. Now it would be even nicer if there was an option of setting a time to upload it.

I'll argue in favour of purely manual publishing being enough. there's really no need for automatic scheduling of artwork publishing other than purely for the sake of SCIENCE! ヽ( ゚ヮ゚)ノ.

as you said, inputting all the information as part of the upload would serve this purpose. but you have to remember that right now FN is hardly refined. it's advertised as in beta state but I'd argue that it's currently in alpha, perhaps late-alpha, which means that beta should come Soon™.
